35mm to digital for editing and then back to 35mm for printing.

The be best work flow for feature films is to shoot in 35m film, then telecine to 2K or 4k, then down convert to lower resolution files for editing in Final Cut Pro. After completing the edit, make a EDL list for negative cutting and for making an answer print in 35mm film.
